ISTT is a reference organisation for creating and developing incubators and science parks. It does this by:
In doing so it plays an effective role in Isfahan’s and Iran’s entrepreneurship ecosystem — and in the international technology network.
Knowledge-based firms are engines of growth and graduate employment. Science parks and incubators exist to give those firms space, advice, finance and a path from idea to market.
Isfahan Science and Technology Town is Iran’s first organisation to found incubators and science parks. Serious operations began in 2001 (1380) with the country’s first incubator, as a bridge between government, industry and universities — turning science into wealth.
Read the full historyThe master plan covers 520 hectares on the Mahmoudabad foothills in north-west Isfahan, next to Isfahan University of Technology and on the city’s industrial–urban axes. Over a 20-year horizon it provides for incubators, five to ten science parks, plots for knowledge-based firms, green space, and a residential district for the creative class — designed to international urban standards.
